Canned Rosé

Rosé

Made in Western Cape, South Africa, our award-winning Rosé is a blend of five Rhône cultivars and modelled on a Provençal pink. It has notes of strawberries, cherries and peppercorns. Perfect for a picnic!

Pale salmon in the glass, it has juicy aromas of ripe red cherry and plum, followed by a hint of baking spices (clove and cinnamon) and delicate floral undertones (violet). The wine is medium (-) in body, displays crisp acidity which lends freshness to the palate and resolves in an almost saline finish

Appellation: W.O. Western Cape
Main components: 61% Grenache Noir, 13% Mourvedre, 12% Syrah
Residual sugar (g/L): 2.1
Production: 4,200L

“It has quite successfully been modeled on a Provençal pink from Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah grapes
Jancis Robinson, Master of Wine & FT Wine Critic

“Very pale, it successfully resembles a light rosé from Provence, with delicate red berry fruit and some citrus flavours.”
Jacopo Mazzeo, Imbibe Magazine UK

“An honestly delightful & refreshing little tipple.”
Emma Dawson, Master of Wine

Canned white wine

Chenin Blanc

A delicious, refreshing white wine, our Chenin Blanc is picked, blended and canned all in the Western Cape, South Africa. An award-winning wine with flavours of peaches, citrus (grapefruit, oranges) and meringues. A real crowd pleaser!

Pale gold in the glass. It has aromas of lemon meringue and passionfruit, lifted by citrus (orange, grapefruit), and melon notes. A textural wine – initially chalky, followed by a touch of leesy richness, cut by a zesty lemon/lime acidity. Richness gives way to zestiness, resulting in a long, pithy finish.

Appellation: W.O. Western Cape
Blend: 100% Chenin Blanc
Residual sugar (g/L): 3.05
Production: 4200L

“Technically well-made and deliciously enjoyable. With plenty of ripe fruit, it works well as an easy-drinking sipper; match with picnic foods such as pork pies, chicken drumsticks and cold cuts.”
Tom Lewis, The Cambridge Wine Blogger

“It shows a bit of reductive character at first, which then blows off to reveal light notes of lemon, pear, blossom and a touch of wild herbs. Refreshing, with just a hint of spritz to it.”
Jacopo Mazzo, Imbimbe Magazine UK

“An extremely pleasant Chenin Blanc”
Tim Hayward, FT Restaurant Critic

Canned red wine

Merlot

A fruit driven red from Elgin, South Africa. We matured our Merlot for 24 months in 225L French barrique to soften the tannins, enhance complexity and ready the wine for drinking whether from a can or glass. This is the newest product in our range, but we are very excited about it.

A drought vintage with tiny, concentrated berries, the wine is deep ruby colour. Upfront with fruit, notes of juicy cherry and ripe blackberry are dusted with cocoa. Medium-plus in body, the palate’s fruity core tends to liquorice, dark chocolate and tobacco. Pronounced length with fine grained, velvety tannin.

Appellation: W.O. Western Cape

Blend: 87% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot

Vinification: Matured for 24 months in 225L seasoned French oak barrels
